As a leading global provider of integrated solutions for label professionals, we can’t wait to showcase our latest portfolio of innovative products at this year’s Labelexpo Europe. But as well as shining a spotlight on our own products when we head to Brussels (24 to 27 September), we’re also looking forward to seeing the hundreds of other exhibits and demonstrations across the three-day event.
Esko will be co-exhibiting with AVT – the market leader in inline inspection systems – so the first thing we’re excited about is the on-stand demonstration of an automated job setup in AVT AutoSet, illustrating our connected workflow and underlining our commitment to enhancing the overall print environment.
With more than 20 of our other label print partners also exhibiting across the Brussels Expo Centre, we can’t wait to unveil the fun, interactive competition we’re organizing with everyone.
From a hardware perspective, we’re particularly looking forward to getting a close-up look at the new label presses that have been teased by Bobst – especially the world premiere of their new UV/flexo hybrid printing machine.
Sustainability is a huge issue across the whole industry, so while we will be showcasing various Esko software and hardware solutions that can maximize productivity and minimize waste, we’re keen to see the various new developments in inks and substrates that can further contribute to waste reduction and improved efficiency. Similarly the latest technology in liner-free ‘eco-labels’ is something that will garner a lot of attention, and the latest, state-of-the-art smart labels and RFID technology continue to amaze. One thing’s for sure – there will be no shortage of new developments unveiled at this year’s expo!
Delegates visiting our stand will be able to get hands-on with the Esko CDI Crystal 4835 XPS flexo imager with platehandler – a world’s first introduction at Labelexpo Brussels. And while we will be demonstrating how individual software solutions can add value to the prepress and print process, we’re also looking forward to showing how they combine to unlock new heights of efficiency – under the banner ‘Labels Connected.’

As part of our ongoing innovations for prepress workflows, we will be showing a series of applications that run as services in a cloud infrastructure. Cloud-based tools are a very hot topic in the world of software and IT because it brings value in scalability, reliability and performance beyond the value proposition of the applications themselves.
Esko embarked on a cloud journey some time ago and releases cloud applications on a regular basis. At Labelexpo Brussels, we’ll be happy to show visitors our Share & Approve solution for fast and effort-free setting up of approval workflows and our brand new Automation Engine Cloud Connector. With the added capability of Automation Engine to connect to the Esko Cloud, remote production sites can easily share label artwork with all metadata between each other. This will greatly simplify load balancing between production sites.

Ourspirit of being connected will continue as we usethe largest label printing show of its kind to demonstrate best practice workflows for labels and flexible packaging production, making the occasion a real celebration for our colleagues and collaborators.
Esko will welcome visitors to booth C60 in Hall 3 of Brussels Expo Centre for live demonstrations of how its array of innovative technologies work independently, in synergy with existing systems and with each other. Come along and visit us!
