Consumers are hungry for aerosol products!

Would you spray your French fries with ketchup instead of dipping them in a dollop? According to a recent survey commissioned by Honeywell, there’s a 67 percent chance you would! Even more surprising: ketchup isn’t the only food you’ll be spraying onto your plate, since the consumer’s attitude towards aerosols in general is growing more positive each day.

Consumers are falling in love with aerosols

ozon layer Aerosols used to have a bad reputation because they depleted the Earth’s ozone layer, but that time is about to come to an end. Honeywell recently launched ‘Solstice® Propellant’, the first aerosol propellant that is harmless to the ozone layer and has a significantly lower impact on global warming than other aerosols on the market today. A survey of more than 1,000 U.S. adults indicates that this knowledge makes 40 percent of adults more likely to purchase the product.

The easy-peasy appeal of aerosol products

air freshener spray Honeywell’s survey showed that almost half (44 percent) of users purchase aerosol products because they find them easier to use than their bottle or tube variants. Aerosol propellants are most popular in the field of household products, with air fresheners, bug repellant and furniture polish topping the list. Personal care products come in second, with shaving cream, hair spray, deodorant and spray sunscreen among the most popular aerosol products.

Top 3 spray-on foods

chocolate spray Considering the growing popularity of aerosol products and the positive reception of Honeywell’s Solstice® Propellant, experts believe it is only a matter of time before every household’s pantry contains at least one spray-on food.
