5 concept packaging designs that should be real

Every once in a while we come across some truly inspiring concept packaging designs that are really too great not to show. Created by students or professional designers, it’s a pity these concepts aren’t available in stores. Luckily, they can shine here. Have a look at our top 5 list of concept packaging!

Beer crate concept packaging

Designed by Luis Luna this beer crate (see above) is composed of two parts, a carrying case and an aluminum base with a detachable 12 bottles beer holder. The best part, though, is that the holder itself contains water, which upon freezing keeps your beer cold.

Popcorn Bag concept packaging

This award-winning “transforming” popcorn bag design concept by Anni Nykänen saves you an extra bowl and you don’t have to get your hands dirty reaching in the bag. Clever and practical!

Bottle concept packaging

We’ re big fans of beautiful and ecological packaging designs. This concept, by Brandimage, is the first totally recyclable paper container made from renewable resources. And it looks good too, doesn’t it? The question is: “Will consumers choose this over plastic bottles?” Let’s hope so!

Lamp concept packaging

Another good great example of eco packaging. Lite2go eliminates packaging altogether! When the lamp is assembled the packaging itself becomes the shade of the light bulb and fixture contained within. No more waste!

Doritos concept packaging

This packaging design for Doritos by Petar Pavlov combines the shape and texture of Doritos chips in its packaging concept. Or as the creator puts it: “What’s good about the form of the packaging is its structure which can keep the chips closed after opening.” Indeed, when you’ve had enough, you can simply close the bag and finish the rest later. In fact, the design itself looks good enough to eat, doesn’t it?
